01Get your copy
Version 1.0.0 supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 12 or later. Both purchase channels include the same complete application.
Stripe securely processes the direct purchase and calculates applicable tax. After payment, Bracketware verifies the paid Checkout session and provides the Apple-notarized disk image. The application itself remains offline and contains no account or licence check-in.
The App Store version is awaiting Apple's release process. Until its public product page is available, that button opens a support email instead of promising a dead storefront link.
02What you get
- The full desktop application — all 20 tournament formats, with no tiers and nothing held back.
- No app-enforced tournament or participant cap. Practical limits depend on the Mac's available memory and storage.
- The organizer control desk, projector mode, match timer and sound.
- Every export: PNG, SVG, standings/matches/participants CSV, tournament JSON, printable report, printable event pack, and full JSON backups.
- Free updates within version 1.
- A perpetual version 1 licence. App Store purchases follow Apple's Usage Rules; direct purchases follow the direct licence terms.
03System requirements
macOS 12 (Monterey) or later, on an Apple Silicon Mac. Roughly 20 MB of disk for the app, plus whatever your tournament data grows to.
App Store: purchase and install using your Apple Account.
Direct: open the downloaded disk image, drag Bracketware to Applications, then launch it normally. Apple notarization lets Gatekeeper verify the download.
Version 1.0 ships for Apple Silicon only. If you need an Intel build, say so — it is a build-target decision, not a rewrite, and demand is what decides it.
04Release identity
Both versions are published by Ownerstate under bundle identifier com.bracketware.desktop. Apple delivers the App Store package. The direct disk image is Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple, and verified again before it is placed behind the paid-download route.
05Updates
Bracketware does not include its own updater and does not phone home to check for one. App Store updates are delivered by Apple. Direct purchasers can revisit their paid download page or contact support from the purchase email address for the current version 1 installer.
If a future major version is ever a paid upgrade, it will be a separate, optional purchase. Your existing copy keeps working regardless — it does not stop functioning because a newer version exists.
